Currently (January 2010), the largest pub in the UK is The Regal in Cambridge which has a capacity of around 1,300.

The building's size is down to the fact that it was previously the St Andrews Street Arts Cinema but was reincarnated as the huge Weatherspoons chain bar in 1999. It is very popular but this combined with it's size can apparently mean long waits for food to be served !
