Was in Belfast with work a few years ago now.

Spent a couple nights in a nice bar opposite what used to be the most bombed hotel in Europe or something. Cant remember the name of the hotel or the bar but I'm sure someone on here will know it.

Old fashioned wooden booths and full of pipe smoke (before the ban)

Hi MikeyB, and welcome to our new forum

I think I know the place - The hotel is the Europa and was hit 33 times during the troubles. Heres a wikipedia article about it.

..and the bar is The Crown I think. Been there myself once after a massive indian meal in the city, but it was a lonnng time ago. Liked it tho. heres their website.
